Passion:

Steve is passionate about community development and affordable housing and dedicated his career to helping communities facilitating positive urban growth. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Planning, Public Policy, and Management, Steve embarked on a mission to create housing opportunities for all.

He is married to his college sweetheart Elizabeth and has two amazing daughters, Natalie and Hailey. His journey began in the Army after which he accumulated 25 years of experience in land use and real estate development.

Steve’s expertise extends from serving as a planner for the Cities of Salem and Eugene to his role as the Real Estate Development Director for Oregon’s second-largest housing agency. During this time he served on the Lane County Housing Policy Board and board of DevNW an active community development non-profit serving many areas of Oregon

Experience:

An expert in land use and structuring affordable housing transactions, in the last 9 years he directly facilitated the construction of 10 projects totaling over 400 units of various types of affordable housing. This included land acquisition, developing a vision for the project, obtaining financing and managing the project through construction completion. He has experience in bring all types of housing to fruition.

Steve’s approach encompasses diverse housing solutions. From mixed-use developments in urban cores to family and permanent supportive housing and rebuilding manufactured home parks, he has navigated every facet of the development process. His ability to address complex challenges and bring visions to life sets him apart.
